When Janaye Joyner was ready to welcome her third baby boy with friends and family, she knew an Enchanted Woodland Forest Baby Shower would be the perfect party theme! This busy momma took it upon herself to design and make all of the adorable decor herself and we’re so impressed! Let’s explore this magical forest full of welcoming little woodland creatures!
Woodland Baby Shower Invitations
This darling baby forest animal baby shower invitation set the stage perfectly for Janaye’s Woodland Forest Themed celebration! You can find a similar invitation on Etsy here that includes several matching designs like thank you cards, signs and games. I love the idea of incorporating moss, natural elements and tiny woodland creature figurines into your decor too!
Enchanted Woodland Party Decorations
Next up, let’s talk about the lovely decorations that appeared throughout the baby shower. Building on the beautiful natural color palette in the invitations, you’ll see green, cream, and wood elements repeated throughout the space.
The mantle featured a moss covered “Oh Baby” flanked by woodland creature signs with cute sayings. You’ll also notice the use of pinecones and wood slices that were carried through too. You can find woodland animal prints to use a similar signs around your party here (and then repurpose these in the nursery later!).
The centerpieces at the guest tables were equally adorable. Set atop a square of moss, they featured a small woodland animal, a clever sign and some other natural elements like a wood slice or a rock filled mason jar with a candle.
A gift station was also creatively designed with a white canvas teepee surrounded by woodland creatures and photos of the other “little ones” in the family.
A few other ideas to consider as you plan your Woodland Themed Baby Shower are these large woodland creature cutouts I found on Etsy! These would look adorable in the front yard greeting guests, setup as part of a Photo Booth, or just set around your space as whimsical decor!
And if you’re throwing a baby shower for a friend or family member, this Woodland Creature Diaper Cake Kit would make the perfect gift that doubles as decor!
And you can’t forget about a designated place for pictures with themed photo props! How adorable do these sweet friends look with the mom-to-be?
Woodland Forest Food & Dessert Ideas
Guests enjoyed a lovely brunch together as they celebrated the mom-to-be! The main serving table was decorated with this cute woodland creature banner. You could create something similar using these woodland animal cutouts.
Brunch foods included fresh fruit, sausage pinwheels, frittatas, chipotle candy bacon, waffles and yogurt parfaits! Yum!
The themed baby shower cake designed by Sugar Bomb Cakes was truly a showstopper! Topped with teepees, woodland creatures, mini pinecones and flowers with woodgrain icing – wow! It’s almost too beautiful to eat! Guest also were treated to adorable fox, deer, raccoon, owl and teepee sugar cookies!
Woodland Forest Party Favors
Finally, as a thank you for coming, guests took home these sweet heart shaped bird seed party favors with a custom thank you note (find a similar thank you tag here). Giving back to the woodland creatures is the perfect party favor to make the theme come full circle, don’t you think?!
