When planning a party or special event like a baby shower you don’t always have to have a unique theme to ground the event. Sometimes, keeping things simple and planning your decor around the guest of honor’s favorite colors works just as well! Join me as we take a look at this family-friendly traditional Pink and Purple Baby Shower and gather some ideas for your next celebration!
When Jael and Joel Georges were expecting their 4th child, a little girl, they celebrated with family and friends with a pink and purple themed baby shower brunch at the beautiful Crystal Ballroom on the Lake. Mom-to-be Jael had a clear vision for an elegant event and coordinated the majority of the design herself. Let’s take a look…
Baby Shower Decor Ideas
Guests enjoyed their brunch at these stunning pink and purple tables! The first thing that catches your eye are the chairs draped in royal purple and pink ribbons that are tied to one side. So elegant, don’t you think?
The white tables were adorned with rose gold glitter table runners and each place setting featured a vintage gold charger plate topped with a white linen napkin arranged in a bow with a sparkly napkin ring (these pearl and diamond napkin rings would create a similar effect).
Centerpieces varied from table to table but featured opulent floral arrangements, floating candles, pearls and gold pedestal candles. There’s no doubt this was a baby shower for a girl!
The guest of honor, Jael and her husband Joel sat at a royal head table, beautifully decorated with flowers, candles and a giant white throne where they sat to watch the morning’s festivities.
Baby Shower Food and Cake Ideas
Guests enjoyed a delicious spread of brunch food including chicken and waffles, a donut bar and of course there was cake! The cake was designed to complement the shower’s colors and decor, was topped with a lovely silver heart cake topper, and looked simply elegant.
Baby Shower Games
One thing I loved about this baby shower was that they played so many coed traditional baby shower games! From a blindfolded dress the baby game to a baby food eating competition, musical chairs and an obstacle course that including wearing a balloon under your shirt, this family sure knows how to have fun!
I hope you can see from this baby shower that all you need for a memorable celebration is good food, fun games and your favorite family and friends. Be sure to Pin this post for later party planning and grab our Party Planning Checklist so you can plan your next celebration with ease!
