Keep scrolling for the delicious details…
During the holiday season when the weather gets really cold and the snow begins to fall (if you don’t live in Texas that is ????) there’s nothing I love more than sharing a warm cup of Hot Chocolate with my kids or girlfriends. And it’s even better if there’s something a little special and unique about it… whether that’s a decadent mix, special marshmallows or whipped cream, a candy cane spoon, or in this case, if it’s green and made with white chocolate!
This recipe is made in a crockpot, which means you can make a big batch and it’s mostly hands-off. Perfect for parties! And because it’s Christmastime – and green – my mind immediately goes to the Grinch! This would be the perfect hot cocoa to serve at a Grinch-themed Christmas party, don’t you think?! Without further ado, let me show you how easy this is to put together!
Mint Hot Chocolate Recipe & Instructions
You’ll be amazed at how easy this is… seriously! Grab your crockpot and use a crockpot liner if you want easier cleanup (how did we live without these, btw?!). You’ll start by adding all your ingredients into the bowl of the slow cooker (the full recipe is right here).
Next, set your crock pot to low and cook the mixture for two hours, stirring every 15 minutes or so to make sure the melting chocolate chips integrate into the cocoa.
Next, you’ll add green food coloring (if you want – you could always make it a different color or just leave it as-is if you prefer). Continue adding drops of food coloring and mixing until you reach the shade of green you’re after.
And that’s it! Time to ladle the mint hot chocolate into your favorite mugs and top your drink with marshmallows or whipped cream and sprinkles!
It looks so amazing!! And for an added special touch, pour your hot cocoa into a special mug – especially if you’re sharing it with your girlfriends!I really love these Merry & Bright, Warm & Cozy and Christmas holiday mugs, don’t you?
