A Royal Teddy Bear Baby Shower is an ideal theme for celebrating the arrival of a new little prince and that’s exactly what Jolie Carter and Guillermo Diaz dreamed up to welcome their first baby boy. The party featured regal navy and gold details in everything from the teddy bears to the flowers and desserts! Join us as we take a look at this exquisite boy’s baby shower theme!
Teddy Bear Baby Shower Decor Ideas
This stunning Royal Teddy Bear Shower was hosted at the beautiful Summerfield Estates in Glen Arm, Maryland. Guests, including family, friends and out-of-state relatives, were welcomed to the event with a magnificent balloon arch designed by Mae Marie Events and made with gold, navy, white and confetti balloons surrounding the entryway. Doesn’t the mom-to-be look beautiful in her white dress with her matching belt?!
The balloon decor was carried inside as well with gold confetti balloons wrapped in blue tulle serving as centerpieces on tables throughout the space. Beautiful hydrangeas were also placed in low vases on the tables, which is always an easy and lovely DIY floral arrangement you can replicate at home.
As of the baby shower date, the couple had not yet landed on a name for their baby boy, so the party banner read, “Welcome Baby Diaz” in gold glitter and they took suggestions for baby names on the cute custom cards guests could fill out during the party. Be on the lookout for all the adorable teddy bears wearing gold crowns too – they were a bright spot throughout all the decor!
What’s more classic baby shower decor than wooden blocks? We love these giant blocks in the baby shower’s signature colors of navy and gold featuring Mom and Dad’s initials!
Teddy Bear Baby Shower Food Ideas
When planning a menu for a baby shower, you can’t go wrong with the mom-to-be’s favorite food! That’s why guests at this shower were treated to traditional Southern soul food fit for royalty, featuring barbecue ribs, chicken, macaroni and cheese, yams, string beans, and baked beans from Taste This.
But I know, everyone really wants to see the cake, right?! And this Royal Teddy Bear cake didn’t disappoint!
This opulent dessert table featured a three-tiered custom cake by Fairytale Createry sitting between four royal teddy bears. The two floating floral arrangements of hydrangeas by Scentsational Florals really make a grand statement, don’t they?
From this angle, you can see another stunning balloon arch and those beautiful wooden blocks under the antique dessert table.
The elegant confectionery jewel of the event was clearly the three-tier vanilla cake created by Michele McNair of Fairytale Createry. Not only was it mouth-watering, it was designed with such elegant detail and featured little teddy bears wearing gold crowns climbing and lounging on the cake.
And if the cakes wasn’t enough, Fairytale Createry also crafted custom royal chocolate covered Oreos, cupcakes with 3D bear toppers, cookie pops, cake pops, cookie dough truffles, and chocolate covered pretzels decorated meticulously in blue and gold crown detail. There was a little something there for everyone’s sweet tooth!
Royal Teddy Bear Baby Shower Favor Ideas
After a wonderful day of celebrating Baby Diaz, guests left with a gold crown filled with blue Sixlets chocolate candies wrapped in blue organza favor bags. A perfectly themed thank you gift, beautifully displayed on this table with another royal teddy bear!
