The ring is on her finger, the date has been set, there’s only one thing left to do! Throw a Chic Engagement Party and celebrate with your dearest friends and family! And that’s exactly what wedding planner Khrystyna Kulyasa did. Join us as we get an inside look at her fabulous French Bistro Inspired Engagement Brunch!
Do you know the first thing that happens when a wedding planner gets engaged? She starts event planning of course! After Khrystyna Kulyasa, the brains behind Pastiche Events, and fiancé Nick Moro took some time to enjoy the early days of their engagement, they decided to host a small and intimate celebration with their family and wedding party to kick off the exciting year to come.
The couple adores connecting with friends over brunch on a regular basis, so an Engagement Brunch seemed like the perfect way to celebrate. Let’s take a closer look at all of the amazing details that made this bridal celebration come to life!
Engagement Brunch Table Decor
Cluny Bistro, one of the couple’s favorite restaurants, exudes an effortless, chic French bistro style that paired perfectly with the newly engaged couple’s brunch-inspired fête. The Engagement Brunch decor took its color notes from Cluny’s blue and white china pattern and toile covered walls.
Each place setting featured a unique china plate, the couple’s engagement newspaper (more on that in a minute) and a lovely blue and white striped cloth napkin. Running down the center of the long table were gorgeous blue and white ceramic vases with with white roses and greenery intermixed with tiered trays overflowing with croissants and fresh fruit.
You can recreate a similar French Bistro inspired look at home by using this fabulous set of three blue and white ceramic vases (or snagging multiples of this single vase) or grabbing this lovely set of blue and white floral cloth napkins (the pattern on these is similar to the vases on the table – swoon!).
Engagement Brunch Food & Dessert Ideas
I don’t know how you feel about brunch food, but it’s my absolute favorite! I think that’s why I love the idea of a bridal brunch so much! Khrystyna and Nick’s guests must have been in brunch heaven because the spread of food looks absolutely amazing! Just look at the Eggs Benedict and waffles! Yum!
We need to talk about the cake at this party y’all!! Designed by Cakelaine, this is the most amazing Belgian waffle cake I’ve ever seen (and totally what I want for my next birthday)! From the couple’s names as cake toppers to the shot of them pouring syrup over the cake, this is just the best thing ever!
And if the waffle cake wasn’t enough, guests also enjoyed this beautiful display of French macarons… and of course, you can’t have brunch without champagne and mimosas!
Engagement Brunch Details & Favors
Remember the custom newspapers wrapped in blue ribbons at each place setting? The newspapers, designed by the bride-to-be and her sister included the couple’s proposal story, an exclusive look at some of their early wedding details, highlighted some of their travels and even featured a custom weekend crossword puzzle with hints about the couple and their relationship. These are the kinds of details that really make a celebration outstanding!
Other unique elements of the celebration included a globe as a guest book and personalized jars of honey from Bonne Maman as party favors for guests to take home and enjoy. You can find similar favor jars of honey on Etsy right here.
Overall, this was the ideal way for the happy to couple to gather with the loved ones they hold dearest and celebrate their exciting news! We hope you were inspired by this chic brunch party theme and have new ideas for incorporating waffles and mimosas into your next party! 🙂 Be sure to Pin this post for later Brunch Party Planning!
