As a girl from Texas, any party where tacos and margaritas are served is my kind of fiesta! That’s why I always adore Mexican-themed parties, no matter the occasion! When you’re planning a bridal shower though, there are so many cute ideas for party themes…
- Taco ‘Bout Love
- My Final Fiesta
- Nacho Average Bridal Shower
- All You Need is Love… and Tacos
I mean, those would all look pretty great on an invitation and as a party banner, right?! In addition to punny theme ideas, we also have an elegant real life party to show you that’s full of festive ideas for decor, drinks, food, dessert, table settings, favors and more!
Hosted at a private residence in Staten Island, the Mother of the Bride and her bridesmaids coordinated a stunningly beautiful Mexican-themed fiesta to celebrate the bride-to-be Chelsea’s upcoming nuptials. From the tableware to the signage to the party favors, you’re going to fall in love with absolutely everything about this party! Let’s take a closer look…
Bridal Shower Fiesta Decor
This bridal shower is built around brightly colored fiesta decor! The vibrant yellows, pinks, blues and greens really pop at a summer pool party! Decorating for a Mexican themed celebration is so much fun – you can pull in piñatas, papel picados (the cutout traditional Mexican flags often used for party banners), sombreros, lush flowers and cacti! In fact, you’ll see a little bit of everything at this party and because the color palette stays consistent, it all works wonderfully well together!
Upon arrival guests were greeted with a serape covered table, adorable watercolor welcome sign and gold “Let’s Fiesta” tattoos! A super fun way to set the stage for what’s to come!
We love the beautiful tablescape for this bridal shower! The bright pink table runner pulls out the colors in the flowers, piñatas and tableware so well! The extra cacti and characters in a can add the perfect amount of fun and whimsy too!
This place setting is amazing, right? I love the ombre wooden cutlery on top of these floral napkins and plates, don’t you?!
And let’s be honest, you can never go wrong with a miniature donkey piñata either! They are perfect at each place setting and could be used as party favors (like these custom donkey favor piñatas we found on Etsy), or you could place them around the party for playful decorations.
Bridal Shower Fiesta Drinks
Drinks at a fiesta-inspired celebration are easy! Margaritas, sangria and tequila set the stage for a great party! This Margarita and Sangria Bar featured ready made red and white sangria and guests also had the option of frozen margaritas! The papel picado banner above, the fringe on the front of the serving table and the maracas are the perfect festive decor.
We love coordinating small details at a party and these colorful miniature pastel picado banners for the straws are perfection! You can find similar ones for your fiesta right here.
Is it even a party if you don’t have tequila shots?! This playful “Grab a Prop, Take a Shot, Say Queso” photo booth is a super fun way to ensure plenty of memorable photos of your best gal pals!
Bridal Shower Food & Desserts
Guests enjoyed an array of fresh Mexican food, in the form of a build your own taco bar, from local restaurant Zona Fresca. You’ll notice the colorful and coordinating crepe paper in the back of the buffet table – this is an easy and inexpensive way to create a pretty, yet simple backdrop at a party.
The dessert bar at this bridal fiesta was out of this world! With a “Fiesta Like There’s No Mañana” banner above it, the table was decked out with a multitude of delicious desserts provided by the bride’s friends. With chocolate covered sombrero Oreos, cactus cupcakes, churros and custom cookies, the guests likely left with a sugar high!
Bridal Shower Fiesta Favors
Chelsea’s guests also left with an armful of goodies at the end of the bridal shower! The party favors were just right for a pool party too – beach towels and mason jar mugs! Each were wrapped with coordinating thank you tags too!
