I can’t wait to take you behind the scenes for a look into Megan’s beautiful 18th birthday bash! When you live in a location where the weather is great, or have the opportunity to take advantage of the warm weather during late spring, summer or early fall, it’s always a great idea to move your party outdoors! There’s just something special about the ambiance that’s created when friends and family are gathered around great food and drinks, celebrating in the backyard! Let’s take a look…
Bohemian Party Decor
There are several lovely details at this milestone birthday, all focused around a bohemian theme in luscious pinks, golds and whites. The boho vibe began for guests as soon as they arrived and stopped to take their picture in front of the greenery backdrop framed by the pink and gold balloon arch created by Modern Girl Party!
Party Tip: You can recreate this look yourself with these faux boxwood panels, DIY pink and gold balloon arch and jumbo gold “18” balloons!
Other boho decor elements throughout the party included geometric gold glass terrariums used as candle holders and floral displays. Aren’t they beautiful? You’ll see this element repeated again on the dinner tables in just a minute. Bruce Wayne Florals designed the arrangements to be delicate and flowing – the perfect fit for the sophisticated bohemian theme of the party.
Backyard Boho Tablescapes
Guests were treated to a delicious dinner from Tastes of Tampa Bay and dined alfresco on rustic farm tables set up by the water and the pool in the backyard. To highlight the beauty of the wooden tables, linens were kept to a simple white napkin which held the menu for the evening. The gold silverware matched the gold terrariums placed down the center of the table with a lovely floral garland as a centerpiece.
18th Birthday Desserts
After dinner there was dancing and guests drank root beer floats and ate s’mores from the s’mores bar! I love the sweet innocence of this idea… hitting your 18th birthday doesn’t mean you have to give up childhood indulgences, right?!
Finally, it was time for cake and what a gorgeous cake the birthday girl enjoyed! The two layered naked cake topped with fresh roses was a true show stopper, don’t you think?!
Megan sure had an incredible time celebrating her 18th Birthday with family and friends! I hope you were able to pull some ideas and inspiration for your next celebration! Be sure to Pin this post and grab our Party Planning Checklist to help you plan your next party with ease!
