When Emersyn Kate turned one, her mom planned and threw her the cutest, Swan Themed First Birthday Party featuring a delicious breakfast buffet! The party is full of inspiration for creating a pink, gold and fluffy party perfectly fit for your little princess, no matter age (in fact, this would be a great theme for a baby shower too)! Let’s take a look at the decor, food and first birthday photoshoot so you can pull some inspiration for your next party!
Swan Party Decor Ideas
The decor inspiration for this party is all pink, gold, white and feathers! I love the girly feel to the decor and think it came together beautifully! By combining a mixture of swan decor elements – from glass swans used to hold the blueberries on the buffet table, to oversized stuffed swans used in the photoshoot – the theme really came to life!
Emersyn’s mom also used simple white hydrangeas and pink carnations to bring a floral touch to the event and used plenty of tulle as she decorated the buffet table and cupcake stand to pull in that Swan Lake ballet feel which you’ll see throughout the pictures.
Add in some adorable pink and gold swan-themed napkins and plates and you’re all set! Here’s a similar set of matching swan tableware that would look divine at your celebration!
Birthday Breakfast Buffet
I absolutely love the idea of a breakfast birthday party, don’t you?! It’s fun, unique and honestly count me in for any excuse to eat breakfast foods! The buffet table was beautifully decorated with pink and white tulle, flowers and swans.
Guests enjoyed classic breakfast dishes like donuts, waffles and pigs-in-a-blanket in addition to traditional birthday treats like chocolate-covered strawberries and these gorgeous swan themed cookies from Sweetly Iced Custom Cookies. Plus there were pink frosted cupcakes topped with gold sprinkles and a lovely two-tiered naked cake mom got from Publix!
How lovely is this sweet cake topper?! I adore the gold glitter-dipped first birthday candle and the fluffy swan cake topper too. The custom cake banner with Emersyn’s name in gold glitter tops everything off perfectly!
Party Tip: Set up a drink station! One of the best ways to make your job as hostess easier, is by setting up a self-serve drink station. You can see the large glass drink dispenser (here’s a similar version) filled with orange juice and set atop a wooden cake stand and the adorable glass jars (find a similar style here) filled with white and chocolate milk! Stylish, beautiful and totally functional!
First Birthday Photoshoot
What would a First Birthday Party be without an adorable photoshoot of the birthday girl? ee photography captured Emersyn’s cake smash in the backyard in front of a beautiful canvas teepee decorated with a bohemian arrangement of pink and white florals. She also added a First Birthday Milestone Sign for some special pictures to capture this precious moment in time.
I think she loved her birthday cake, don’t you? I just adore the pure excitement written all over her face in this picture with her tiny party hat and pearls!
Swan Party Favors
Finally, what else do you give as party favors at a swan-themed party than tiny stuffed swans?! I couldn’t find these exact swans, but here’s a similar stuffed swan and these handmade swan soaps are gorgeous and both would make great party favors!
