Autumn is on the way and this season always feels like a fresh start to me! That means it’s time to try out some new cocktail recipes and find the perfect signature drink as you watch the leaves fall, enjoy the cool crisp air and sit beside a bonfire! The combination of ingredients in this fall cocktail hits all the right notes and will leave you and your guests feeling like you just sipped in refreshing cooler air.
The Maple Cider Bliss cocktail calls for – you guessed it – maple syrup (the darker, the better) and apple cider. I used a traditional cider, but a spiced apple cider would be delicious with this drink as well. You’ll also need a Cinnamon liqueur (we used Mr. Stacks Cinnamon Schnapps) and a sparkling wine. An apple for garnishing the drink and brown sugar for rimming your glass are optional.
Assembling the drink is quick and easy. First dip the rim of your cocktail glass in maple syrup and them dip it directly into brown sugar for a sweet and beautiful rimmed glass. I used a martini glass, but a white wine glass would look lovely too.
Next, you simply assemble the drink, starting with the apple cider (full recipe details are below).
Then add your cinnamon liqueur, which will turn your drink a gorgeous shade of red…
Add in your maple syrup next and then stir…
Finally, top your drink off with sparkling wine, add a thinly sliced apple and it’s ready to serve! I sliced the apples horizontally so I could get that beautiful star center – just be sure to remove all the seeds before placing it on the glass. And bonus – the apple tastes amazing after it’s been soaking in that cinnamon liqueur for a little while!
There you have it – the Maple Cider Bliss – a perfect fall cocktail! Give it a try and let us know what you think!
