Picnic Dinner Decor Ideas
An evening picnic for adults is the perfect opportunity to go glam and really dress up your picnic table! Just because you’re serving dinner outdoors, doesn’t mean you have to tone down the decor. Set up lakeside, this low table is covered in a blush velvet tablecloth and surrounded by lush faux fur blankets and soft pillows for comfortable seating in shades of pink.

A stunning floral installation designed by LC Floral Design draws your eye up above the table and tiny pink flowers also luxuriously flow down the center of the table and down to the ground. A larger arrangement of pink toned roses is placed in the middle and tall white taper candles add some ambiance as the sun goes down and are protected from the wind in the tall glass hurricane candle holders.

Each place setting was grounded on a gold flower inspired charger, topped with a white dinner plate and wooden salad plate holding a pomegranate as a place card, featuring each guest’s name beautifully written in white script by Ellestrations.

And finally, a large gold framed mirror reminded everyone why they were gathering for the night… for good friends and great adventures! I love this added touch!

Picnic Dinner Food & Drink Inspiration
Whether you’re serving a full meal at your evening picnic or opting for grazing boards and desserts like they did here, they key is to prepare as much ahead of time as you can so you can enjoy time with your guests instead of being in the kitchen the whole time! Check out these fantastic fruit and cheese grazing boards and bowls from Danville Cheese Gal. They almost look too gorgeous to eat, don’t they?! I adore the dessert served in the crystal bowls too… seasonal fruit like figs and pomegranate seeds are not only delicious, but also a beautiful decor element for desserts this time of year!

A signature drink called “Ruby Bubbles,” a mix of champagne and pomegranate juice and seeds, was served and a copper ice bucket kept the bubbly cool so guests could help themselves to more throughout the evening. And if you want to dress up your champagne glasses for the party, simply tie a little baby’s breath to the stem with a pink velvet ribbon and you’ve matched your floral arrangement and table perfectly!

I hope this outdoor Picnic Dinner for Adults has inspired you to host a similar gathering with friends in your own backyard! Pin this post for decor ideas as you plan your next event!
