Hanukkah, also known as the “Festival of Lights,” is an 8 day celebration in late November or December that commemorates the victory of a small group of “rebels” who took back and rededicated the Temple of Jerusalem from the armies of Syria. During Hanukkah families gather together to enjoy a celebratory dinner and today we have a beautiful tablescape to inspire your own holiday dinner party. Take a look with us at this festive, sparkling Hanukkah Tablescape…
Focused on the “Festival of Lights” theme, event planner and designer Victoria Thanoukos of Kensington Florals and Events, created this lovely tablescape worthy of a joyous Hanukkah celebration! From the glistening tablecloth to the vintage glassware and beaded chargers to the snowflake covered winter cake, this luxurious tabletop will welcome guests and set the stage for an intimate holiday dinner.
Hanukkah Table Setting Ideas
Let’s talk about how you can recreate a similar tabletop design for your dinner party at home! First, you’ll want to start with your base, the tablecloth. This table features a glistening black and silver patterned tablecloth from BBJ Linen. The dark color really makes the rest of the design pop! We found a similar black glitter tablecloth here that would work beautifully as well.
Next, you’ll start creating each place setting with a clear glass beaded charger and matte black silverware. Victoria gives us two ideas for napkins as well. You can choose your favorite for the entire table, or alternate colors for each guest. The first option is a granite velvet napkin wrapped with a single lovely orchid (here’s a similar black velvet napkin). I think it looks absolutely stunning!
Alternatively, you can add a pop of color to your table and opt for a peacock blue fallie napkin wrapped with a velvet tie. I think this bright color brings in a feeling of winter and looks elegant against the dark tablecloth. You can find a similarly colored napkin here.
One of the elements that makes this Hanukkah tablescape feel so luxurious is the vintage silver Murano glassware. The gorgeous silver wine glasses mixed with the blue water goblets tie in perfectly with the overall look of the table.
Hanukkah Centerpiece Ideas
This holiday table is proof that you don’t always have to use flowers for your centerpiece. Instead, down the center of this Hanukkah table you’ll find a modern menorah created out of crystal cylinders and floating candles. Add additional tea lights to your centerpiece and your table becomes a beautiful celebration of light!
Hanukkah Cake Inspiration
One final piece of inspiration for your holiday dinner… this gorgeous little snowflake covered winter cake, designed by Chicago Sweet Connection Bakery. We love the ombre blue icing topped with delicate white snowflakes, don’t you?
I hope you enjoyed this glistening Hanukkah Tablescape as much as I did! Pull as much inspiration as you can and then put your own twist on it! Be sure to Pin this post for later Dinner Party planning too! Happy Hanukkah!
