Kristen and Rachel wanted to put together the perfect baby shower for their dear friend Katie, and what could be a sweeter spot than a donut shop in Historic Downtown Duluth? With their hosting location nailed down, they went to work with event planner Ivory and Pine Co crafting a beautiful donut themed day to Sprinkle their friend with love.
If you haven’t heard of a “sprinkle” before, it’s like a mini shower and typically thrown for moms who already have a child or children at home. They may not need all the typical first baby gear, but a sprinkle shower enables their family and friends to celebrate the new baby with fresh gifts, clothes and wished for items.
The donut theme was set with these lovely “Oh Baby” invitations (you can find a similar invitation here)! Using donuts as your party theme is incredibly versatile, so you could also do a “Donuts and Diapers” invitation or a “Sprinkled with Love” invitation like we found below…

Because this baby shower was hosted on site at an adorable donut shop, decor was kept simple and totally sweet! From the sprinkle filled candle holders to the cute signs and lovely white flower arrangements designed by Flowers by Holland, guests enjoyed seeing this party theme brought to life!

This beautiful blue and white photo booth with giant balloons next to a gorgeous balloon arch over the sweet treats really brightened up the outdoor patio! Plus, it was the perfect spot for the mom-to-be to capture pictures with her friends.

Donut Shower Food Ideas
Clearly, the staple at a donut themed baby shower is… donuts of course! Katie and her guests enjoyed a variety of donuts and pastries from Simply Done Donuts along with delicious fruits and vegetables, all beautifully displayed on unique serving trays.
At this type of party, you can also grab your favorite local donuts or some super fancy gourmet donuts to display on a giant donut wall stand or stacked on fancy acrylic donut stands.
