There’s nothing better than sitting down at a gorgeous table, enjoying delicious food with family and taking time to appreciate your blessings! The magic of Thanksgiving only comes along once a year, so making a special effort to design a lovely table for your guests is always a rewarding endeavor. Thankfully, Ashley Radasov of Ashley Nicole Events partnered with Marquee Event Rentals and Didier Farms to design a simple, yet elegant Thanksgiving table full of rich purples and golds that’s sure to inspire your decor! Take a look…
Thanksgiving Table Setting Ideas
When thinking about your Thanksgiving table, what colors come to mind? There are so many deep vibrant colors associated with fall, you have a variety of options! I do love rich jewel tones for a Thanksgiving Dinner and this table pulls in some of those deep purples and golds!
This tablescape was grounded with a deep plum or eggplant colored tablecloth which serves as the perfect base for the gold beaded charger plates, stacked with classic white dishes and topped with a matching eggplant cloth napkin and gold maple leaf place card (more on that beauty in a minute).
The silverware and clear glassware are perfect choices too as they don’t distract from the vibrant colors on the table!
Thanksgiving Place Card Ideas
I’m not sure when it started, but I absolutely love creating unique place cards for all the formal dinners I host! I’ve used pinecones, wine corks, magnolia leaves… I’ve event turned my family into elves (that was fun!) and I think that’s why I love the simple DIY place card used on this Thanksgiving table!
These golden leaves with handwritten guests’ names look gorgeous placed on top of the purple linen napkins. You may be able to find some gold maple leaves at your favorite craft store, or you could grab some artificial maple leaves and a can of gold spray paint and make them yourself. Or, if you have some beautiful fall leaves lying around the yard, grab those and paint them gold! Then use a sharpie or other marker and write each guest’s name on the leaf (or enlist a friend with great handwriting).
Thanksgiving Centerpiece Ideas
I love the centerpiece featured on this Thanksgiving table because it’s low, so your guests can easily converse across the table without anything in the way. To recreate this look at home, simply lay greenery down the center length of the table and then pick your favorite fall flowers from the florist or grocery store and gently tuck them into the greenery. A little goes a long way and keeps your table decor from looking overdone.
I think candlelight is a must at any holiday table, so be sure to mix in some simple glass tea lights and tall, but thin candle holders with tapers like these geometric candleholders between place settings.
Thanksgiving Serving Ideas
As one final bonus idea from this photoshoot, why not use seasonal gourds as serving dishes at Thanksgiving dinner? How beautiful does this soup look served in this bright yellow pumpkin? It perfectly compliments the tablescape and is sure to earn wild praise from your guests!
We hope this festive, elegant and simple Thanksgiving tablescape inspires your decor choices as you plan dinner at your home! Be sure to Pin this post for later hosting inspiration!
