SpongeBob Party Supplies & Ideas
Start with sending out the invitations! Send SpongeBob invitations, either ones you purchase or have the Birthday boy/girl make some of their own. It’s always fun to receive a homemade invitation in the mail or at school.
Think under the sea when decorating for the party. Get creative and use items from around your house such as shells you’ve collected from the beach. You could also purchase an inexpensive fish and fish bowl from the pet store to use as decoration. Then after the party is over, the Birthday boy/girl gets to keep it.
A pinata is always a big hit! (Pun intended.) Fill the pinata with SpongeBob themed items such as key chains and blowouts. Find individual packages of Swedish Fish and Goldfish and put those in the pinata as well.
Have picture props on hand. Kids love to leave with something personal from the party or have something as a momento arrive in the mail at a later date. The SpongeBob Airwalker balloon is the perfect size for the kids to stand next to for photos. There are also SpongeBob scene setters available for purchase, which really make fantastic photos.
Let’s play dress up! Have everyone come to the party in their favorite swimming/beach gear. Or if it’s too chilly for bathing suits and flip flops, have them make SpongeBob hats and SpongeBob shirts out of paper bags.
Don’t forget the snacks! Serve Goldfish crackers and Swedish fish in glass fish bows. Add a scoop for easy access. Not only do these bowls look really fun, but kids will love scooping up snacks on their plate. You could also serve fish sandwiches and call them crabby patties. Just use fish sticks and buns with sesame seeds and you’re good to go!
