Every little girl dreams of a birthday filled with magical unicorns and bright shiny rainbows, right?! As Izzy approached her 6th Birthday, she had a clear vision in her head for her pool party with all of her friends… and of course it centered around glitter and unicorns! Magical Unicorn Birthday Party Ideas
If you have a daughter, chances are you’ll throw at least one unicorn themed birthday party in your life! And that’s great news because these magical animals lend themselves to a lot of fun and colorful designs! Izzy’s lovely party featured a pastel and iridescent color palette that was carried through all the party details from the invitations to the favors at the end. Speaking of invitations, look how perfectly coordinating Izzy’s invitations were with the party desserts (more on those in a minute…). These beauties, designed by Gosh Paperie, can be found and customized here on Etsy.
Perfectly placed next to the dessert table, guests were welcomed into the party with this beautiful pastel unicorn and rainbow welcome sign. You can snag a similar customizable welcome sign here too.
Since this was a pool party, round tables were setup outside to take advantage of the beautiful weather. Topped with light pink table linens and lovely pastel floral arrangements by Bruce Wayne Florals, the look really elevated the party and added some sophistication (don’t forget, kids can have fancy parties too!).
Unicorn Birthday Party Dessert Table
The dessert table was really a show stopper too! The pastel rainbow backdrop was surrounded by a magnificent pastel pink, purple and blue balloon garland and the table below shined with its iridescent tassel banner!
And of course we have to take a closer look at all of the delicious goodies on the table! The girls enjoyed gourmet unicorn donuts, rainbow and unicorn sugar cookies and a fabulous two-tiered gold unicorn cake with sprinkles hiding on the inside! And how cute are those unicorn napkins and plates?!

Unicorn Pool Party Decorations
A few other fun details really brought the magic to the this fun pool party… The girls had a blast uncovering the candy hidden inside this white unicorn piñata!
And it wouldn’t be a pool party without some special attention paid to decorating the pool, now would it?! A matching pastel balloon garland floating in the pool along with some oversized rainbow and unicorn pool floats. And a giant unicorn sprinkler sprayed the girls all afternoon (and can be enjoyed by the birthday girl and her friends all summer long)!
Finally, after a full afternoon of magical fun in the sun, Izzy’s guests went home with these adorable unicorn horn bath bombs as party favors!
