In the world of online invitations and Facebook Event invites, it sure is nice to get an actual invitation in the mail! I personally think it’s a lovely touch to send or hand out actual invitations to important events. Plus, invitations are the first impression of your party and give people a hint at your theme and what they can expect come party day!
With that in mind, quality is really important to me when I send out invitations so I wanted to order some samples to put Basic Invite to the test. I selected a variety of paper samples, card cuts, colors, foils and envelopes so I could get a feel for what they had to offer. I love a weighty birthday invitation and even the standard printed card, which you can get as Smooth Coated or Signature Matte (the Donut Invitation and the 40th Birthday Invitation respectively) really feel like quality products. I added the Premium Shimmer to the Unicorn Birthday Invitation and it’s subtle, but perfect for a girly feel. I chose the Luxe Velvet paper and the Bracket Shape for the Llama Birthday Invitation and oh.my.gosh is it soft! Seriously, it feels incredibly luxurious and would be perfect for a milestone birthday party invite! The First Birthday Invitation is printed on the Double Think Matte with Rounded Corners and if you want a hefty, weighted card stock, this is definitely the way to go.
You can see I also played around with colors and patterns on the back of a few cards as well as envelope colors and options – they have over 40 different envelope colors to choose from and they’re all peel and seal so you can quickly get them in the mail. They also have different colors and patterns for the inside of your envelope as well as foil options, so you can really go all out!
Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows you the ability to order a printed sample of your actual invitation so you can see exactly how it will print and feel the paper quality for yourself before you ever place your final order. - Three Foil Options: Foil on invitations really adds a festive touch and you can select to add flat or raised foil in gold, silver and rose gold on all of Basic Invite’s foil designs (I opted for raised rose gold foil on the Llama Birthday Invite and did flat gold foil on the 40th Birthday Invite).
