What do you get when you mix popcorn, Reese’s pieces, candy corn and almond bark? One heck of a tasty Halloween treat! It’s been years since I made this and after having to hide it from myself to stop eating it, I wondered why I waited so long to make it again. And after the kids found it, they couldn’t stop sneaking bites either!
If you’ve ever popped a bowl of popcorn and thrown some candy in with it, you understand that delicious sweet and salty taste. Although I didn’t expect it, Reese’s Pieces and popcorn are an insanely good combination! Adding in candy corn is just icing on the cake and it combines for the perfectly colored Halloween treat!

Halloween Monster Munch Ingredients
First things first, gather your ingredients for this delicious Halloween snack. You’ll need:
- A bag of Microwave Popcorn
- 1/2 cup of Reece’s Pieces
- 1 cup of Candy Corn
- 8 oz of Vanilla Candy Coating
You’ll also want to have a big mixing bowl, a cookie sheet and some wax paper on hand. And that’s it – time to get to work!

Monster Munch Directions
First, you need to pop a bowl of popcorn. Use either about 1/2 cup of popcorn kernels or a regular sized microwave popcorn bag. I used microwave popcorn because it’s easy and I had it on hand. Pour it into a large bowl and let it cool. Make sure to get all of the unpopped kernels out so someone doesn’t break a tooth!

Next, you’ll add in 1/2 cup of Reese’s Pieces and about 1 cup of Candy Corn. If you’d like to add in more, go for it! Just remember, once you add the vanilla candy coating it’s going to be really sweet!

Now it’s time to head to the microwave and melt your vanilla candy coating. Follow the directions on the package for melting so you don’t accidentally burn it or overheat it. I warmed mine in a microwave safe glass container for 1 minute and then stirred and heated it again for two 15-second intervals. Once it’s melted, pour it over your popcorn and candy mixture and stir well to coat all the pieces.

After it’s thoroughly mixed, spread it out on a wax paper covered baking tray and let it dry completely. Mine took about 30 minutes for the candy coating to harden and dry.

Finally, once it’s hardened, break it up into smaller bite-sized chunks, add it to treat bags, a big serving dish for your party or put it into small orange pails for party favors to go! Enjoy!
