One of the most anticipated events in the Jewish faith is when a child celebrate’s his or her bar or bat mitzvah. It’s a traditional coming of age ritual and when you have twin boys, their b’nai mitzvah is cause for a huge celebration! Join me as we take a special behind the scenes look as these lucky twin boys celebrate their B’nai Mitzvah with a Baseball Themed Dream Party at Citi Field!
Twins Ollie and Ryan Feder were in for a huge treat when their parents partnered with Event Planner Joseph Todd Events to throw an epic B’nai Mitzvah at Citi Field in Queens, New York. This 13th birthday party is full of special details, personalized party favors and once in a lifetime memories. Take a look and grab some inspiration for your next baseball themed party or bar mitzvah!
Pre-Party Celebration
The twins’ parents arranged several special family moments before guests arrived for the official party. Ollie and Ryan were able to go into the batting cages, the dugout and the locker room at Citi Field for a special behind the scenes tour. I love the idea of carving out special family time before a milestone party like this. It ensures you have one-on-one time with the honoree before things get crazy when guests arrive. Plus, I’m sure these family photos will be treasured for years to come!
Former MLB star and Met, Mookie Wilson even surprised the boys outside of the locker rooms with a few gifts for their b’nai mitzvah.
Game Day Party Decor & Activities
You don’t have to do too much for decor when you’re hosting your party in a place as special as Citi Field! The bright lights and sports lounge feel were already in place. However, we love the baseball centerpieces encased in glass. In fact, that’s an easy DIY project you could recreate at home with or without the glass case. You just need a hot glue gun, a whole bunch of baseballs and these artificial turf bases!
Foosball, arcade style basketball, a recording booth hosting karaoke and big LED foam fingers added to the game day fun of the party too! You can likely rent a similar place, or rent individual games to create a comparable experience. You might even have friends with foosball tables, pingpong tables or other fun games you could borrow for party day! And of course there was dancing… lots of dancing!
B’Nai Mitzvah Party Food
The event was catered by Foremost Caterers and featured a variety of the twin’s favorite foods including a taco bar, fresh sushi and stadium style hot dogs!
Personalized Party Favors
Party guests will remember this event for years to come as they enjoy all of the personalized party favors they received! A custom logo made from the twin’s first initials (O and R) was created and put on sweatshirts – which were also personalized with the guest’s name. T-shirts, duffel bags and bottles of water also featured the party logo. Finally, guests visited a “make your own candy box” station on the way out the door.
This Baseball Themed B’Nai Mizvah at Citi Field was truly one of a kind! I hope you gathered some inspiration for the bar or bat mitzvah you’re planning or your next game day party! Be sure to Pin this post to your Party Planning board!
