First Birthday Parties are always such a fun milestone for parents to reach! You’ve survived the first year and your little one has grown so much! It’s time for a big celebration with your friends and family and there are so many playful party themes to choose from. Today we’re sharing a darling Mr. ONEderful First Birthday Party that is full of fabulous ideas for your little boy’s big day.
When mom Liana Herrera’s son Jacob turned one, she planned a beautiful backyard celebration choosing an adorable Mr. ONEderful theme for the party. I think this is a great party theme for a little boy because you can pull in a variety of decor like mustaches and bow ties in addition to Mr. ONEderful artwork. After all, your little man is growing up quickly, so it’s a perfect fit! Let’s take a look at the party for some design inspiration…
Mr. ONEderful Dessert Table
The main attraction at little Jacob’s party was this bright and beautiful dessert table! Liana framed the Mr. ONEderful photo backdrop with a stunning balloon arch. You can do something similar yourself with this DIY navy and white balloon garland kit.
The custom birthday cake, designed by Shea’s Cakes, was topped with a Mr. ONEderful cake topper and placed atop a blue cake stand in the middle. Darling little cupcakes, made by The Heavy Sifter, were topped with fondant bow ties and mustache cupcake toppers. They’re so cute, aren’t they?
First Birthday Decoration Ideas
Another creative display at the party involved balloon boxes featuring the birthday boy’s name, custom sugar cookies by Shea’s Cakes displaying his name, a Happy Birthday banner and several of the family’s newborn photos. I love displaying family photos of the birthday child at a party – it’s fun for everyone to see how much they’ve grown!
Another First Birthday favorite is a banner displaying the birthday boy’s pictures, month-by-month. I did this at my son’s party too and it was one of my favorite details! Liana hung this banner along an outdoor wall and under neath, added a large Mr. ONEderful banner to compliment all of the themed decor.
1st Birthday Party Favors
Finally, by the front door as guests were leaving, they could grab a sweet treat as a party favor on their way home. Decorated with a beautiful blue ONE banner, guests could choose from cookies in custom treat bags or bags of candy with personalized Mr. ONEderful labels.
I hope you found some cute and creative ideas for the First Birthday Party you’re planning! Be sure to Pin this post to your Party Ideas board for later too!
