I’m sad to say we never really did Advent Calendars with our kids. I’m not exactly sure why, but now that they’re older they would completely roll their eyes at me if I tried. It’s possible we could get by with doing a cool LEGO one with our 9 year old, but I never know from one day to the next what he’s too old for. Personally, I don’t think you’re ever too old for a LEGO Advent calendar.
I love the idea of counting down the days until Christmas and getting a little surprise on each day. What’s not to like? There are some super cute Advent Calendars you can buy for your kids in themes from their favorite toys and characters. I’ve rounded up a few of those, as well as included some DIY Advent Calendars you can make yourself.
